I started dancing when I was like 6???? Yeah! Though that time waving hands and jumping on Hindi song - "Tutak Tutak Tutiyaa... Hai jamaa Lo" was the best steps I could perform. LOL

As I grew up, my dancing improved, thanks to my slim-trim-flexible body
, learning new steps was never a problem for me. When I was 14 I saw Bhaskar (my neighbor) performing Break-Dance on a local TV contest. He won of course. Impressed I was, I asked him to teach me. And so began my Journey as a dancer.I dance in mix style - It's usualy combination of Salsa + Ballet + BreakDance + Usual Bollywood Dance or in short its called Freestyle Street Dance.
A Successful dance performance requires two things - Choreography and Right Selection of Dance Track and I know how tough it is to find the right track for your dancing style. Here I present my fevorite tracks which are appropriate for street/freestyle/break dancing!
1.) Singin' In The Rain by Mint Royale :
I noticed this song when George Sampson danced on it in Britian's Got Talent finale and won! Superb songs with lots of scope for footwork and bodywave moves.
2.) Numb-Encore by Jay-Z and LinkingPark :
Linkin Park and JayZ both are like East and West. But their combination made this an epic. The hip hop beats in song is good for body-sliding moves and body-waves.
3.) Aerodynamic by Daft Punk :
Daft-Punk, all beats no lyrics. The song is special, cause you can perform it in front of any type of viewers, no mater they know english or not. Long loops give scope to syncopation moves.
4.) Killa by Cherish (Feat. Young Joc) :
Saw this in Step-Up 2 : The Streets movie. Its good for female breakdancers actually. The BPM is a bot low, but the is good as you can perform some complex moves like Knee Drop and 8 step.
5.) Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake :
I hate lyrics of this song, but the music is good. On songs synchronized beats one can easily do 2-Step, Kickouts and Suffles.
6.) Wall to Wall by Chris Brown :
An R'nB' kinda song. BPM is low here too but this song truly rocks. I once performed on this one, totally rocking performance. Plus point is you can incorporate many moves with this one : 4 step, Body Glide, Belly Swim and even 1-handed Airbaby (something I can't do!)
7.) One Two Step by Missy Elliott :
Missy Elliot is the Queen of American Hip-Hop and the is her one and only track worth dancing IMO! As name suggest - Its good for Footwork based dance moves. 1-2 Step, 2 Step, 4 Step and Scissors.
8.) Old School Funk Mix by The Baka Boyz :
Funk song. Speciality of Funk? You can perform any breakdance movie that exist (or you invented) in these.
9.) Lets Dance to the Drummers Beat by Kerman Kelly :
Another footwork based song you can easily perform Bicycle pumps, Zulu Spins, Spindle, Back CC's, Kick outs, Shuffles and Scramble moves on it!
I will keep adding more to the list. Dancing is fun (and its one of things which keeps me from being called a 'nerd'
).What sort of dance you like? And which is your fevorite dance track?

BharatNatyam is something you can't learn by your own!

Breakdance is all about going with flow of music, BharatNatyam is going against it.
