26 November 08, will be counted as a "black-wednesday" in Indian History. Mumbai saw a huge coordinated terrorist attack. And before anybody could understand hundreds of people died in these. Explaining these attacks is stupidity as you probably know more then me. I am just writing my views here...
I got to know about attacks when I logged in to twitter at around 12:30 AM on 27th. Till then all of the social media (twitter, blogs, flickr, friendfeed and all) were burning with news of terrorist attacks. That came as a Shocker for me. On 27 there were elections in my state so for precaution cable sevice was disabledin cities. Nobody in my city had any clue whats going on in night except those few people including me who surf Web all night. A quickly called everbody and gave them link of CNN-IBN live video stream.
The scenes were sccary, blood everywhere. I thought by morning everything will cool down, but was wrong. I stayed up all night just yo see that situation is becoming worse and worse. Mumbai police lost its 18 officers, including ATS chief- Hemant Karkare. A big shock. Indain army, navy and airforce was called in. This became the Biggest Organized Terrorist Attack India has ever seen in its history.
Me and other twitterers tweeted 2 nights Non-Stop about it. Worked hard to stop rumors. Giving only correct info to people.
These attacks in time of economical crisis will hurt India very badly. Tourists have been killed in these attacks too, this will have a huge negative impact on Indian Tourism. I saw few people writing tweets that they are cancelling their India's trip. I don't blame them, who'd want to come in a country where there is NO SECURITY.
These terrorists were here for no negotiation. They have only one thing in mind, stay for as long as they can and create terror and panic. Somebody tweeted about this on twitter : Deccen Harald's 15th September news Story : http://tinyurl.com/634dan . They already gave a warning that in near future mumbai's gonna see a attack!
It high time India should do something solid now, we've endured too much suffering and pain.
As I'm writing this Indian army and National Security Gaurd is still handling hostage situation (Truely Brave People They are).
Why our Secret Agencies failed? Why Indian police is never properly
eqipped to handle these situations? We can't expect them to fight
terrorists with a Dandaa do we? Why it took so long to call the army?
So many questions, High-Placed officers and politicians have lots of
explaining to do.

I appreciate the fact that you tweeted about it all day/night long! Yeah, even i am really thankful to people on Twitter for if it hadnt been you guys, I wouldnt be knowing minute-minute updates! It's a pity people don't understand the effect of terrorism! At times like these, the politicians should not start blaming each other( like they always do) and start working together! This universal problem can only be put an end to if people stand united! Sadly, the politicians have been very much successful in playing the divide and rule policy. I sincerely wish the condition wouldnt be too late!
I am really very proud of the security guards, Our Airforce and Navy who've been doing a phenomenal job!

hey QM, i would fully agree about the Twitter updates. Had it not been for it, every news channel would've created a whole lot of nonsense in our minds.
And yeah, the impact on tourism would be huge.
